Terms and conditions

Using JanamBandhan means you accept these terms. They are written to be read, not to be skipped.

Last updated 2 November 2026

1. Who you are dealing with

JanamBandhan is the trading name of JANAM BANDHAN, a sole proprietorship of Amit Singhal, 111 A-7, 1 Garh Road, Ajanta Colony, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh 250004, India, holding Udyam registration UDYAM-UP-56-0186752. “We” and “us” mean that business; “you” means the person using the site, whether for yourself or for a family member.

2. Who may join

  • You must be of legal marriageable age in India — 21 for men, 18 for women — and legally free to marry.
  • JanamBandhan is a paid, members-only service. Anyone may join; a membership must be paid for before you can search or chat. We may refuse or end a membership at any time.
  • One person, one profile. Family members may hold a separate family login for the same candidate.
  • If you create a profile for a relative, you confirm they know about it and agree to it.

3. Your profile must be true

Everything you enter — age, marital status, education, profession, income, photographs — must be accurate and about the actual candidate. Families make life decisions on the strength of it. We remove profiles found to be false, and we do not refund a plan on an account removed for this reason.

4. What you may not do

  • Harass, threaten, abuse or repeatedly contact a member who has not accepted you.
  • Ask any member for money, a loan, a gift or an investment.
  • Copy, scrape or export profiles, photographs or contact details, or pass them to another matrimony service.
  • Impersonate anyone, or use someone else's photographs.
  • Use the service for anything other than finding a marriage match for yourself or a family member.

We close accounts that do these things, without a refund, and we report to the police where the law requires it.

5. What we do and do not promise

We verify profiles before they go live and we do our best to keep the service running and the data accurate. We do not promise that you will find a match, that any member will respond, that the service will never be unavailable, or that every detail in another member's profile is true. We are an introduction service, not a guarantor of anyone's character, intentions or marital history. Families should do their own checks before committing to anything.

6. Plans and payment

Plans and prices are set out on the pricing page. Plans are one-time payments for a fixed period, nothing renews automatically, and plans are not refundable — see the cancellation and refund policy. We may change prices, but never for a plan you have already paid for.

All three plans give the same service and differ only in length. When a plan ends your profile stays on JanamBandhan and remains visible, but searching and starting new chats stop until you renew. Discount codes are applied at the payment step; every membership carries a minimum payment, so no membership is ever free.

7. Contact details and privacy

Mobile numbers and email addresses are masked everywhere on JanamBandhan. We do not reveal them to another member, to a partner, or to anyone else, and no plan buys them. You may share your own number inside chat if you choose to — that is your decision, and anything you send in chat is out of our hands. What we collect and how to have it deleted is in the privacy policy.

8. Your content

Your profile and photographs remain yours. By putting them on JanamBandhan you allow us to show them to other members and to our partners for the purpose of matchmaking. That permission ends when your profile is deleted.

9. Limit of our liability

If we are liable to you for anything arising out of your use of JanamBandhan, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for what another member does, says or turns out to be.

10. Ending your account

You may stop and ask us to delete your profile at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why.

11. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Meerut, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Nothing here removes a right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page, with the date at the top, is the one that applies. Questions go to support@janambandhan.com or +91 97629 58243.
